Budapest Grand Walk

Budapest is a great city for walking and you can easily visit the main sights and the best local spots on foot while exploring hidden streets and grand boulevards, the unique architecture and the beautiful bridges between Buda and Pest. However, just like in every big city, you might feel a bit overwhelmed when you arrive to Budapest, so make sure you take this great walking tour in Pest to explore the very best of the city.

Why I Recommend This Tour

This Budapest Grand Walk is a great tour to take on the first day of your stay, so you’ll have a better idea of which parts you’ll want to further explore while in town. Although Budapest is a walkable city with a relatively small center, it’s not always that simple to navigate between the different neighborhoods, especially if you want to use public transportation.

This is a small-group tour with a friendly atmosphere, so you’ll feel like as if you were taking a walk in Budapest with a group of friends.

Great Tours in Budapest

“The Grand Tour really was grand, taking us all over Budapest and taking in sights that we might not have seen on our own. The tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and eager to show off her city. The Dinner tour guide was equally friendly, and took us to places I’m sure we would not have been able to find on our own. I won’t spoil it for future travelers, but I’m pretty sure you’ll like their restaurant picks … especially one little out-of-the way bar that was a very pleasant surprise. Small group made it easy to fell included. Highly recommend this company for your tours in Budapest.”

In-Depth Tour of Budapest

“We did the Grand Budapest tour, and it ended up being a private tour. This was a mammoth tour, it’s expensive, but you definitely get your money’s worth. It goes for 4 hours, you start with a sparkling wine, there is public transport included, church visits and another stop for coffee and cake. Our guide was wonderful, happy to talk about anything, and was able to adapt well to the public transport breaking down, so we didn’t even notice that the tour had to be changed. I would definitely recommend this company, I’m a bit disappointed I didn’t try one of their food tours as well.”

Two Days, Two Great Tours

“On the first day we did a Grand City Walk tour that was about 4 hours. We covered all the highlights of Budapest between walking and some public transit. One of the best parts of the tour was the ability to customize it to our liking. Our guide as very flexible and he showed us just what we asked. We learned quite a bit on our second trip to Budapest. The next morning we took the Budapest Food Tour and had a great time. Very small group just us and 2 others which is another nice benefit of this company. No mass groups. While I always enjoy the ‘free’ walking tours we take nothing could come close to the personal touch of these tours. Plus, with the food tour we had quite a bit of food, all covered in the fee. Well worth it and a great experience. Needless to say we did not need dinner that night!”
