Budapest is a city with all four seasons. Winters can get bitterly cold, and snow is not uncommon. Really though, only January and February get really bad, and it’s a good excuse to find yourself in one of the citiy’s many cozy cellar bars. Summer, on the other hand, can be anywhere from bright and breezy to swelteringly hot, with July and August often seeing temperatures in the 100s (35+ Celsius).

Consider planning your sightseeing carefully and taking plenty of breaks. Outside the peak seasons, Budapest tends to enjoy, long lazy autumns and springs, meaning you can really expect to find pleasant days in Budapest from as early as March to as late as November.
