One of the best activities in Budapest is visiting the beautiful baths and enjoying a relaxing time while soaking in the healing thermal water.

Several of the baths in Budapest have outdoor pools with either warm or colder water and with areas for sunbathing so it’s quite popular to visit the baths during summer time. However, since thermal water is usually quite warm (it can be as warm as 40 degrees Celsius), going to the baths in the cold winter weather is actually quite popular.

Enjoying the warm water, the steam and Finnish saunas feels nice and cozy when it’s cold and dark outside during the winter months.

So if you’re coming to Budapest during winter time, don’t worry, opening hours for the bath won’t be a problem. To learn more about the baths, visit our Budapest Bath FAQ page.
