FARM is an unusual place in the 6th district of Budapest: during the weekdays it is a trendy bar with a laid-back atmosphere and great cocktails, but on some Sundays, it turns into a farmers’ market.

Vendors are in the outdoor area of the bar selling sausages, vegetables, fruits, dairy products, jams, bread and “kalács” (Hungarian sweet bread, probably closest to challah) and even soap and other cosmetics. Since it’s a small market, you should arrive early enough, otherwise you won’t have a great selection to choose from.

The market at FARM is open from 9 am until 1 pm and it’s definitely worth staying for lunch that is prepared on the spot. Each Sunday, you can try a typical Hungarian dish, such as Lecsó and Chicken Paprikás. There is no set price for lunch, but they accept contributions. (We paid HUF 1000/person.)
